JACK was watching Breakfast News and asked me why Mourinho had quit.
"Well, sometimes if a team's not playing well, people blame the manager and say horrible things about him.
"I think he's decided he doesn't want people being nasty to him anymore so he's letting someone else be manager," I said, trying to be diplomatic.
Jack paused. Being a sensitive boy I thought he was going to jump to Jose's defence.
"But dad, Mourinho's always being horrible so what does he expect?"
Despite his 'horrible' side, at least the Special One left us with one of the greatest press conference moments ever - his perplexing eggs analogy (September 19, 2007), so reminiscent of Cantona and his pilchards (or was it sardines?).

They had a famous FA Cup run in the early 1990s, eventually being knocked out by Crewe 3-1 in the 3rd round. Roly Howard was manager for a record 33 years (1972-2005), although he will always be remembered by some fans as Kenny Dalglish's window cleaner. TV presenter Ray Stubbs once asked: "How's business, Roly?" to which Roly replied "Oh you know - ups and downs."

Former players include Michael Ball (Everton and Rangers) and Stephen Wright (Liverpool and Sunderland). The club motto is 'To Enjoy, Not Destroy.'

I am not Jose's or Chelski's biggest fan by any means, but whether you dislike him or not you cannot deny that the 'Special One' is a character and will be missed in the premiership. The game needs people like him. This wonderful game is all about opinions and I will certainly miss his totally irrational and very often irritable rants.
I just hope for Chelsea fans sake that they are not about to go through what Heart of Midlothian fans are going through with their wonderfully eccentric Latvian owner.......not!
